QUOTEABLE:
"It's quite an accomplishment for these guys. Each one (MW Championship) was a little different. Guys were pretty solid. Nothing is easy, the conference is strong from top to bottom and you really have to play well to get a conference championship. So we are real proud to represent the Mountain West as champions this year." - UNLV men's golf head coach Dwaine Knight
"I love my teammates and coaches. We are all family. We all do the same thing, we try to get better every day - just try to push each other and get the best out of ourselves. My ball placement was really good off the tee and on the green as well. Today was actually a better ball-striking day. I had a little more confidence in attacking some flags and overall put myself with a lot of birdie opportunities. I put them a lot closer than the past few days and got it done today. It's a great feeling. This is my last conference championship ever, you have to make the best out of the last one." - UNLV men's golf senior Shintaro Ban
STAT OF THE DAY: UNLV was the only school with four individuals finishing among the top 13 at the tournament.
REBEL OF THE DAY: Ban, the only student-athlete in the field to card all three rounds in the 60s, recorded eight birdies during the final round with one bogey. He finished with a tournament-high 20 birdies over the tournament's 54 holes.
