Men's Tennis Opens Fall Play With Trip To Napa

NAPA VALLEY, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) - A contingent from the UNLV men's tennis team opened its fall tournament slate Friday at the College Tennis Invitational at Silverado Resort and Spa.

The Rebels split two doubles matches vs. teams from Oklahoma State, including Eric Samuelsson and Clayton Alenik downing Maxim Tybar and Luke Hammond.
Facing San Francisco in singles play, UNLV's win came from Samuelsson, who downed Paul Giraud 6-4, 6-0.

"There were lots of positives from today's play in Napa," said UNLV head coach Owen Habmrook. "Our doubles play was very good and we're especially proud of Eric and Clayton for taking out a very good Oklahoma State team. In singles, everyone competed hard with great positivity."
