Runnin' Rebels At UCLA Friday Night

Second straight road game vs. Pac-12 opponent set for 8 p.m. on Pac-12 Networks

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - After falling short in overtime in each of its last two contests, the UNLV men's basketball team is back on the road for a game at UCLA on Friday, Nov. 15 at 8 p.m.
UNLV (1-2) has opened the 2019-20 season with an 86-71 win over Purdue Fort Wayne on Nov. 5, a 60-56 overtime loss to defending Big 12 champion Kansas State on Saturday, and a 79-75 overtime loss at California Tuesday.  

Junior guard Amauri Hardy scored a career-high 27 points against Kansas State and was in double figures for the third time at California with 15 points. He leads the Runnin' Rebels in scoring so far this season at 19.0 points per game. Junior forward Mbacke Diong recorded the second double-double of his career with 17 points and 17 rebounds in the season opener and leads the team and Mountain West in rebounding at 12.0 per game. His rebounding average currently ranks 13th in the country. The Runnin' Rebels are under new leadership this year in head coach T.J. Otzelberger.

UCLA (2-0), also with a new head coach in Mick Cronin, opened its season with home wins over Long Beach State (69-65) on Nov. 6 and UC Santa Barbara (77-61) on Sunday. The Bruins trailed at the half in both games.

Friday's game will be televised on Pac-12 Networks with Roxy Bernstein and Bill Walton calling the action.
