Runnin' Rebels Back Home Monday At 7 PM

UNLV men's basketball team begins four-game, eight-day homestand vs. Abilene Christian at Thomas & Mack Center.

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - After playing two straight games on the road against Pac-12 opponents, the UNLV men's basketball team will return home to open a four-game, eight-day homestand on Monday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. vs. Abilene Christian at the Thomas & Mack Center. It will mark UNLV's first game in the Southwestern Showdown presented by Engage Telehealth, a multiple-team event played in round-robin format.
UNLV (1-3) has opened the 2019-20 season with an 86-71 win over Purdue Fort Wayne on Nov. 5, a 60-56 overtime loss to defending Big 12 champion Kansas State on Saturday, a 79-75 overtime loss at California on Tuesday and a 71-54 loss at UCLA on Friday.

Junior guard Amauri Hardy leads three Runnin' Rebels averaging in double-figure scoring with 17.5 points per game, while junior forward Mbacke Diong is the team's leading rebounder with 10.8 per contest. In the Runnin' Rebels' loss Friday, junior forward Donnie Tillman led all scorers with 18 points. UNLV is under new leadership this year in head coach T.J. Otzelberger.

Abilene Christian (1-2) is coming off a historic season as it made its NCAA Tournament debut in 2019. The Wildcats opened this year with a 90-39 home win over Arlington Baptist on Nov. 5, then lost at Drexel, 86-83, on Nov. 10, and at home to Pepperdine, 73-69, on Saturday.

Monday's game will be video streamed on the Mountain West Network at UNLVRebels.com with Tony Cordasco and Donovan Stewart calling the action. Jon Sandler, former Runnin' Rebel Curtis Terry and Steve Cofield (sidelines) will handle the UNLV radio call, which may be heard live on ESPN Radio 1100 in Las Vegas and online via the UNLVGameday App and TuneIn.
