Runnin' Rebels Back Home Wednesday Night

UNLV men's basketball team to play first home game in 22 days vs. Pacific at 7 p.m. at Thomas & Mack Center.

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - After spending the last 22 days out of the Thomas & Mack Center because of the National Finals Rodeo, the UNLV men's basketball team will return home to host Pacific on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m.
Since defeating Jackson State on Nov. 26 at the Thomas & Mack Center, the Runnin' Rebels (4-7) lost at Cincinnati in overtime on Nov. 30 (72-65), won at Fresno State in double overtime on Dec. 4 in their Mountain West opener (81-80) and lost to BYU in Salt Lake City on Dec. 7 (83-80). UNLV is 2-2 in its last four contests.

Junior guard Amauri Hardy leads three Runnin' Rebels averaging in double-figure scoring with 16.9 points per game (7th in MW), while junior forward Mbacke Diong is the team's leading rebounder with 9.8 per contest (5th in MW, 35th in nation). UNLV is under new leadership this year in head coach T.J. Otzelberger.

Pacific (10-3) is in its fourth year under head coach Damon Stoudamire. The Tigers have won five straight games and are coming off a 79-73 home win vs. Cal State Northridge on Sunday. Jahlil Tripp (13.0 ppg) and Justin Moore (10.5 ppg) lead the team in scoring, while Tripp is also the team's leading rebounder (7.1 rpg).

Wednesday's game will be streamed live on UNLVRebels.com/Mountain West Network with Tony Cordasco and former Runnin' Rebel Donovan Stewart calling the action.
