LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) -  Due to heavy rain in the Las Vegas area, the first day of the Boyd Gaming Rebel Classic has been rained out.

The UNLV softball team's Thursday contest against Fordham will not be rescheduled, but the remaining game times for the Rebels will be unchanged throughout the rest of the weekend. UNLV will now open the tournament Friday, February 15 against Utah Valley at 11:30 a.m., then take on Miami-Ohio at 2 p.m. at Eller Media Stadium. Saturday's games against Georgetown and Weber State at 1 p.m and 3 p.m., respectively, will go on as planned, as will Sunday's game against UTEP at 10:30 a.m.

Schedule adjustments have been made at the Stephanie Lynn Park site for Friday, with games beginning at noon on both fields instead of 9 a.m. Saturday' first game at Eller Media Stadium between Hawaii and Weber State will now start at 10 a.m., and BYU and Fordham's Thursday contest has been rescheduled to Saturday at 1:30 p.m. on a third field at Stephanie Lynn Park.
