Runnin' Rebels Host Fresno State Saturday Afternoon

Matinee start of 2 p.m. at Thomas & Mack Center will also be a Rebel Kids Day Takeover.

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's basketball team, coming of an 83-72 road win at Boise State on Wednesday night, will host Fresno State at the Thomas & Mack Center on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 2 p.m. It will be a battle of two teams in the upper half of the Mountain West standings as the Bulldogs are third in the league and the Runnin' Rebels are fourth.

The game will also be a Rebel Kids Day Takeover, with kids getting the chance to see what it takes to produce a Runnin' Rebel Basketball game. Tickets for the game may be purchased at UNLVtickets.com, by calling 702-739-FANS (3267) or by visiting the Thomas & Mack Center Box Office.

The Runnin' Rebels (12-10, 6-4) have won four of their last five games at the Thomas & Mack Center with their lone blemish in conference play at home coming against then-No. 8/7 UNR on Jan. 29. UNLV is led in scoring by senior guard Kris Clyburn's 13.7 ppg.

Fresno State (16-6, 7-3) had won two straight games before losing at home against Utah State by a point (82-81) on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are 4-1 on the road in conference play this season. Braxton Huggins leads the team in scoring at 18.1 ppg.

Saturday's game will be broadcast on ESPN3 with Trey Bender and Richie Schuler calling the action. Jon Sandler, former Runnin' Rebel Robert Smith, and Steve Cofield (sideline reporter) will handle the UNLV radio call, which may be heard live on ESPN Radio 1100 AM and online via the UNLV Gameday App and TuneIn (link at UNLVRebels.com).
