LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women's tennis team will be back in action for the first time in nearly two weeks when it hosts No. 35 Columbia Thursday morning.
The Rebels are 9-5 overall and 7-1 at the Fertitta Tennis Complex this season but had their most recent match, vs. Ohio State, canceled last week because of windy weather. Columbia, out of the Ivy League, comes in with a record of 9-1, having won nine straight outings.
Then, on Saturday, UNLV will welcome UTSA to town. The Roadrunners of Conference USA have won four straight to improve to 10-8.
The action starts with doubles play at 10 a.m. on both days. Admission is always free of charge.
Head coach
Kevin Cory's squad is led by senior star
Aiwen Zhu (21-6), who is currently ranked 96th in the nation in singles and 48th in doubles with partner
