NAPA, CALIFORNIA (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's golf team played another 18 holes for round two at the Silverado Showdown Monday in Napa, California, and finished the day in 17th with a two-round score of 43-over 619.
Sophomore
Polly Mack shot an identical 2-over 74 in round two to move to 4-over 148 on the tournament, which has her tied for 16th heading into the final round Tuesday. Senior
Elizabeth Prior is tied for 49th at 9-over after a 78 Monday, followed by fellow senior
Shannon Oh in a tie for 79th at 15-over (159). Sophomore
Cathy Liu is one shot behind Oh in a tie for 84th at 16-over and freshman
Veronica Joels is in 90th at 20-over.
Northwestern jumped from a tie for second to first with the best team round of the day - a 3-under 285 - and will head into the last round with an 11-shot lead over second-place Stanford. No. 1 USC is one shot behind the Cardinal at 12-over, followed by San Jose State in third at 13-over and Oregon in fifth at 17-over.
A pair of Northwestern golfers - Brooke Riley and Stephanie Liu - who were tied for the lead after the first 18 holes are still atop the leaderboard, with Riley in first at 4-under after two rounds of 70 and Liu in second at 2-under. A third Northwester golfer - Kelly Sim - is tied for third with San Jose State's Natasha Andrea Oon at 1-under, while USC's Gabriella Ruffels is in fifth at even.

• UNLV has finished in the top-10 in all five tournaments this spring, including a first-place finish at Battle at Boulder Creek and a second place finish at Rebel Beach
• Polly Mack earned her first outright victory at the Mountain View Invitational this spring with a career-low 54-hole score of 10-under. She was named Mountain West Women's Golfer of the Week for the second time this spring after her victory
• The Rebels finished second at their second annual Rebel Beach Invitational at Spanish Trail Country Club in February, which is co-hosted by Long Beach State. Prior blew out the field with a seven-shot victory for her second straight tournament win
• The Rebels opened the spring with a team win at the Battle of Boulder Creek, with Prior and Mack tying for medalist honors
