LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV women's tennis senior Aiwen Zhu has been named the Outstanding Rebel of the Week, the school announced Wednesday. This is the fourth time Zhu has earned the honor in the final year of her Rebel career.

The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition from Monday through Sunday as voted on by the UNLV Athletic Communications department.

Playing in Orlando last week, Zhu became only the second Rebel in history to win at least one match in multiple NCAA Singles Championships. The Wuxi, China, native posted an upset of the nation's No. 26 player, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 over Oklahoma's Oleksandra Korashvili in the first round. Zhu, who moved into a tie for fifth on her school's career singles list with what was her 103rd victory, lost the following day to finish 30-8 overall in her final season.
