LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV men's golfers Harry Hall and Justin Kim have been named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced this week. Additionally, the Rebels were recognized earlier this month as a GCAA Division I All-Academic Team.
This marks the third straight year that UNLV has had a pair of All-America Scholar honorees.
Hall, who is from Hayle, England, was a senior during the 2018-19 year and was recently named to the Spring Academic All-Mountain West Team for the fourth time. Kim, from Fullerton, California, was a junior this past season and earned Academic All-MW honors as well for the second year in a row.
In May, Hall was selected to the Divison I PING All-West Region Team for the second straight year. The 2019 Mountain West Golfer of the Year, he earned all-league honors for the fourth time. He won two individual titles as a senior- the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate and the Little Rock Invitational.
A record 266 players earned the All-America Scholar honor in Division I this year. To be eligible, student-athletes must have been a junior or senior academically during the 2018-19 season, participated in 50 percent of their team's cumulative rounds with a stroke average under 76.0 and maintained a minimum cumulative career grade point average of at least 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
To be included on the GCAA's All-Academic Team list, the squad must have recorded a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.
