NAPA VALLEY, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) – Representatives from the UNLV men's tennis team concluded play Sunday at the College Tennis Invitational at Silverado Resort and Spa.
The Rebels took both of their doubles matches as Milos Dabic and Tom Ciszewski got by Jan Kirchhoff and Aaro Polanen of San Diego State, 8-7, and Anton Ornberg and Jackson Atherton doubled up David Hough of San Diego State and his partner Nitzak Ricklis of San Francisco, 8-4.
Facing the University of Buffalo in singles play, UNLV split on four courts with two three-setters. Ornberg downed Valdemar Holm, 6-2, 3-6, 6-4, and Atherton outlasted Matthew Johnson, 6-2, 0-6, 6-3.
"This weekend was a good test for our younger guys and everyone competed well," said head coach Owen Hambrook. "Many thanks to Aurelien Roulin for the wonderful housing and the tennis staff at the Silverado Resort for hosting a great event."
