UNLV Game Notes Â
♦  The Spartans are currently alone in second in the MW at 5-1 while UNLV is half a game back at 4-1, everyone else in the league besides front-runner Fresno State (5-0) has at least two losses on the season.
♦  Wednesday's contest features the two biggest surprises of the Mountain West season, as the Lady Rebels were picked seventh and the Spartans 11th in the preseason coaches' poll.
♦  UNLV is 34-6 all-time against the Spartans, and have won the past five meetings. The Spartans' last win in the series came Jan. 28, 2017 in Las Vegas.
♦  The Lady Rebels' five-game win streak is tied for the longest since January of 2018, while a win would match that team's 5-1 start to the conference season.
♦  UNLV is looking for its fourth road win of the year, after going 3-10 in road games a year ago. SJSU is an impressive 6-1 on its home court, but dropped its last game in the Event Center 85-76 in overtime.
♦  The 2019-20 UNLV Lady Rebel squad are one of the youngest and least experienced teams in the Mountain West this season after graduating four senior starters. UNLV has 10 underclassmen on this year's squad, with seven freshmen and three sophomores, while the four-member senior class had a total of two career starts (as a Lady Rebel) entering the season.
