LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women's tennis program set two major academic records this semester, the athletics department announced Monday.
The Rebels turned in a semester grade point average of 3.88 for fall 2020, which is the highest ever recorded by any UNLV sport. The team also holds a cumulative GPA of 3.70, which is also an athletics department record.
In addition, the team boasted six student-athletes earning a spot on the Dean's Honor List and five players finishing with a 4.0.
"To set classroom records like this is incredible and I am extremely proud of the way our team has handled these trying times," UNLV women's tennis head coach
Kevin Cory said. "Our academic support system is exceptional and I want to give a shout out to
Kim Jennison and the entire academic staff that works tirelessly to help our student-athletes to reach their goals."
