LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV track & field junior
Avi'Tal Wilson-Perteete was named the Outstanding Rebel of the Week, the school announced Wednesday.
The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition from Monday through Sunday as voted on by the UNLV Athletic Communications department.
Wilson-Perteete, a junior from Oakland, California, broke the program's indoor 600m record with a time of 1:29.37, earning her first place at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic. Her time was two seconds faster than the previous 600m record holder Auzsane Crowe-Carter's 1:31.45 notched in 2016.
