LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women's tennis team won its fourth straight match, 4-0, over Youngstown State to cap a doubleheader Sunday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
 
The Rebels improved to 4-5 while the Penguins fell to 2-6.
 
The hosts took a 1-0 lead in doubles play with quick wins at the top two spots and then picked up three straight-set victories in singles play to end things.
 
REBEL OF THE MATCH: Senior Las Vegas product Sam Smith, who transferred to UNLV from BYU, teamed with Connie Li for a 6-1 victory on court two in doubles play and then clinched the team match in singles with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Elivira Esteo at the fifth position.
 
NEXT FOR THE REBELS: UNLV will take a couple of weeks off from competition before hosting Southern Utah on March 11 starting at 10 a.m. Admission to all UNLV matches is free of charge.
