LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men's tennis team posted its third shutout of the young season with a 4-0 victory over NAU Friday afternoon at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
 
The Rebels improved to 5-0 while the Lumberjacks fell to 2-3.
 
The hosts won matches on the second and third courts to clinch the doubles point and then picked up a pair of quick straight-setters to build a 3-0 lead. However, NAU threatened on all remaining courts until Anton Ornberg finally clinched it with a 7-5, 6-4 victory on court four.
 
REBEL OF THE MATCH: Senior Eric Samuelsson teamed with Clayton Alenik for a 6-3 win on court two in doubles and then won in straight sets over Facundo Tumosa, 6-4, 6-4, at the second singles position.
 
QUOTABLE: "NAU gave us a really good match in certain spots today. It was good to get the win and we look forward to another tough one tomorrow."

NEXT FOR THE REBELS: UNLV will look to remain undefeated when it hosts Santa Clara on Saturday starting at 11 a.m. Admission to all matches are free of charge.
