LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV track & field program placed 11 individuals and its 4x400m relay team on the 2020 Mountain West Indoor Track & Field All-Conference Team, following the squad's first-place finish at the conference meet.
All-MW Team honors are awarded to those individual and relay team that place in the top three in an event at the indoor meet.
Cassondra Hall and
Jonon Young earned all-conference recognition twice over. Hall, who was named the MW's Female Outstanding Performer of the Meet, won both the 60m and 200m, and was also a member of the runner-up 4x400m relay. Young was first overall in the long jump and triple jump.
Kaysha Love,
Avi'Tal Wilson-Perteete and Amari Prude joined Hall on the 4x400m relay. Individually, Love and Wilson-Perteete made the All-MW Team due to their finishes in the 60m (third) and 800m (first).
UNLV was also represented by
DeAndra Greer (60m/second place),
Jada Hicks (60m hurdles/first),
Agnes Mansaray (800m/second),
Jazlynn Shearer (long jump/second),
Mackenna Howard (shot put/second),
Acacia Astwood (weight throw/second) and
Cassidy Osborne-Butler (weight throw/third).
Additionally, head coach
Yvonne Wade was tabbed the MW's Women's Coach of the Year, marking the third year out of the last four that she has claimed the honor.
ALL-MW INDOOR NOTABLES:
-UNLV has placed its 4x400m relay squad on the All-MW Indoor Team for nine straight years, and its time of 3:37.47 at the 2020 meet was the third best in the program's all-time indoor performance list.
-Hall's times in the 60m (7.27) and 200m (23.42) were third and second, respectively, in the program's all-time indoor performance list.
-Hicks' time in the 60m hurdles (8.18) was not only a school record, but it was top five in both MW Championship (third) and MW (fourth) history.
-Howard is a four-time All-MW Indoor Team honoree in the shot put: 2015, 2018, 2019 and 2020.
-Wilson-Perteete is a three-time All-MW Indoor Team honoree in the 800m, finishing first in both 2019 and 2020, and taking second in 2018.
-Hicks is a two-time All-MW Indoor Team honoree in the 60m hurdles: 2019 and 2020.
-Young is a two-time All-MW Indoor Team honoree in the triple jump: 2019 and 2020.
-Love is a two-time All-MW Indoor Team honoree in the 200m, finishing second in the event in 2018.
