LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV's top women's tennis doubles team made an impressive 2021 debut in this week's Oracle ITA National Preseason Rankings.

The Rebel duo of En-Pei Huang and Izumi Asano will start the campaign ranked No. 13 in the nation, marking the highest preseason mark by a UNLV individual or duo since 2007 when Elena Gantcheva and Kristina Nedeltcheva began the season at No. 5.

Huang and Asano, who won their program's first ITA Mountain Regional doubles crown a year ago, finished the abbreviated season 15-3 overall and 6-0 in dual matches. The All-Mountain West honorees ended last season ranked 20th.

UNLV is scheduled to begin its dual-match season on Feb. 5 by hosting FAU.
