Rebels Open Season Close To Home

UNLV will participate in Monday’s Silver State Collegiate Cross Country Challenge at North Las Vegas’ Craig Ranch Regional Park.

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV will open its Spring 2021 season at the Silver State Collegiate Cross Country Challenge in North Las Vegas at Craig Ranch Regional Park Monday. The Challenge, which is hosted by USA Track & Field – Nevada's Cross Country series, gets underway with the first of three men's 8k races at 8:00 am and concludes with the third and final women's 6k at 1:00 pm.
 
In all, a total of six races will be contested with participants from 15 NCAA Division I programs, including seven squads from the Mountain West – UNLV, Air Force, Boise State, Fresno State, New Mexico, San Diego State and UNR. BYU, Grand Canyon, Northern Arizona, Notre Dame, Utah, Utah Valley, Washington and Weber State are also slated to compete in the one-day meet.
  
The Scarlet & Gray will be paced by returners Rebecca Green, Kaitlynn Menger, MacKenzie Moss, Jasmine Perez, Sarrah Springer, while Alexys Arroyo, Olivia Hergenroeder, Lexy Osterkamp and Isabella Schrader will compete in their first events as Rebels at 1:00 pm.
 
PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID-19 protocols, spectators are not permitted at The Challenge.
