LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) — UNLV hosts its Thanksgiving Classic round-robin tournament starting Saturday with a noon matchup versus UT Arlington (3-1) at the Cox Pavilion. Kansas City (3-1) and Grambling State (2-2) will follow at approximately 2:30 p.m.

Tickets for the UNLV Thanksgiving Classic are $6 in advance and $10 on game day. Tickets provide daily admission to attend both games.

About the matchup
UT Arlington has twice been UNLV's Thanksgiving Classic opener. The Lady Rebels defeated the Lady Mavs, 60-59, in the 1994-95 season and, 79-57, in 2004-05.

- The Sun Belt coaches picked UT Arlington to finish third in the conference standings in their preseason poll.
- Terryn Milton was a Preseason All-Sun Belt Second Team selection. Milton is one of five key returners for the Lady Mavs and averaged 9.6 points and 3.7 assists last season.

Scouting Grambling State
- UNLV and Grambling State have met just once previously, Dec. 7, 1990, in Houston, Texas—an 80-67 win for the Lady Rebels.
- Grambling is 2-2 with wins against Louisiana-Monroe and Northwestern State and losses to Florida and Florida State.
- The Lady Tigers were picked to finish fifth in the SWAC Preseason Poll.
- Graduate senior and Central Arkansas transfer Alexus Holt leads Grambling State with 17.0 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. Holt also has a team-high 13 assists and nine steals through four games.

- Nneka Obiazor scored a season-high for the second straight game, totaling 21 points.

- Essence Booker added 16 points. She has been one of UNLV's top two scorers in every game.
