LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women's tennis team got back to its winning ways with a 7-0 shutout of Wayne State University on a gorgeous mid-March Sunday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
The Rebels improved to 3-4 on the year while the Warriors, ranked 23rd in Division II, fell to 4-5.
The hosts won a spirited doubles session by taking all three matches and then did not lose even a set in singles play.
REBEL OF THE MATCH: Connie Li teamed with Sam Smith for a 7-6 tiebreaker win at No. 2 doubles and then blanked Suki Mandair on court four in singles, 6-0, 6-0.
UP NEXT: UNLV is off until hosting Dixie State on March 23 starting at 10 a.m.
