TUCSON, Ariz. (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's golf team shot the fifth-lowest final-round score Sunday, climbing five spots in the standings to finish 11th as a team at the N.I.T., which was played at OMNI Tucson National Resort (par 72, 7,167 yards).

No. 8 Oklahoma State was 18-under on Sunday and won the team title by four shots at 47-under 817. No. 2 Oklahoma was second at 43-under, No. 6 Texas finished third at 31-under, San Diego State was fourth at 29-under, while host and No. 17 Arizona and No. 4 Illinois both tied for fifth at 28-under.

UNLV shot 9-under 279 during the final 18 holes to finish the 18-team tournament at even-par 864. 

Oklahoma's Garett Reband earned medalist honors at 15-under 201 after a final-round 6-under 66. Oklahoma State's Eugenio Chacarra and Texas' Pierceson Coody both tied for second at 13-under.

Illinois' Adrien Dumont de Chassart leads all individuals at 11-under 133 after rounds of 68 and 65. New Mexico's Brandon Shong is one shot back in second at 10-under, while there is a four-way tie for third at 9-under.

The Rebels were led individually by sophomore George Leigh, who finished tied for 30th at 2-under 214 after a final-round 3-under 69. Senior Jack Trent tied for 44th at even par, senior J.J. Gresco tied for 53rd at 1-over, junior David Rauch tied for 68th at 4-over and fifth-year Justin Kim tied for 87th at 8-over. 

There were a total of 104 players competing.
