SAN DIEGO (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women's tennis team did not lose even a set en route to shutting out in-state rival UNR, 4-0, Saturday afternoon at the Aztec Tennis Center.
In prevailing at the neutral-site matchup that opened Mountain West play for both schools, the Rebels also earned three points in the Silver State Series presented by IBEW and Nevada Donor Network.
UNLV won its third straight outing to improve to 5-4 overall and 1-0 in the league while the Wolf Pack fell to 5-2 and 0-1.
The Rebels opened the day by taking the first two completed doubles matches for a 1-0 lead. In singles, it was the bottom of the lineup that put in the quickest work as UNLV notched points on courts three, five and six to end things.

Aura Fang teamed with fellow-rookie
Zita Kovacs to post a 6-0 win at No. 3 doubles and then in singles clinched the team victory with a 6-2, 6-0 triumph over Mathilde Sarcelet at the sixth position.
