LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men's tennis team blanked UC Riverside 7-0 in what was the front end of a doubleheader Tuesday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
The Rebels improved to 5-9 while the Highlanders fell to 0-5.
UNLV won two of three doubles matches to forge a 1-0 lead and then did not lose even a set in singles to complete the sweep.
REBEL OF THE MATCH: Eric Samuelsson teamed with Clayton Alenik for a win 6-4 at the top of the doubles lineup and then cruised past Gilbert Chung, 6-1, 6-0, in singles.
UP NEXT: UNLV takes on UCR again starting at 3:30 pm.
