SAN DIEGO (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women's tennis team wasted little time in earning its third straight victory in a 4-0 performance against Air Force in a neutral setting Saturday afternoon.
 
Playing at the Aztec Tennis Center, the Rebels improved to 8-5 overall and 4-1 in Mountain West play while the Falcons fell to 10-4 and 2-2.
 
UNLV opened the meeting by taking the doubles point with wins on courts two and three.
 
In singles play, the Rebels got a trio of straight-set victories – on courts one, three and five -- to quickly end things.
 
REBEL OF THE MATCH: Las Vegas native Sam Smith teamed with Connie Li for a point-clinching doubles win at the second spot and then downed Mebeli Becerra, 6-1, 6-2, on court five in singles.
 
NEXT FOR THE REBELS: UNLV will be back at it Sunday afternoon with a neutral-site meeting with New Mexico on the campus of San Diego State.
