LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – Four members of the UNLV men's tennis team were named Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athletes for 2021 while the team was cited as a whole for the 12th time since joining the Mountain West.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any school that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above. In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must be a letterwinner, have a GPA of at least 3.50 for the current academic year, and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters. Alex Kobelt, juniors
Jordan Sauer and Tom Ciszewksi and sophomore
Zach Garner.
All four were also members of the previously announced 2021 Academic All-Mountain West Team, which featured a record-nine Rebels who have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. Joining the quartet was

Milos Dabic,
Jack Hambrook and
Eric Samuelsson.
A pair of those same players – Ciszewski and Kobelt – for the second consecutive year also earned the even more impressive designation of Mountain West Scholar-Athlete, which goes to those with a cumulative GPA or 3.5 or better.
