LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – Fourth-seeded and 31^st-ranked Shiori Fukuda of Pepperdine downed 86^th-ranked Mananchaya Sawangkaew of Oklahoma State, 7-5, 6-4, to capture the singles title to close out the annual Freeman Memorial Championships Sunday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
 
In doubles, fourth-seeded and 46^th-ranked Alicia Dudeney and Bente Spee of Florida upset third-seeded and 38^th-rnaked Connie Ma and Angelica Blake of Stanford, 6-4, for the crown.
 
Individual competitors from Pepperdine, UCLA, Stanford, Florida and Oklahoma State joined the Rebels this weekend for the elite event. UNLV's contingent ended its run in the main draw on Saturday.
 
With tournament play now concluded, UNLV will open its dual-match season on February 4 by hosting Weber State starting at 10 a.m. Admission to all Rebel matches is free of charge.
