LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's basketball team will head back out on the road and travel to San Diego to face San Diego State on Monday, Jan. 24 at 6 p.m. The game, which was rescheduled from the original date of Jan. 18 because of COVID-19 issues, will mark the Runnin' Rebels' fourth game in a week's time.

THIS SEASON: Hamilton leads the Runnin' Rebels (11-8, 3-3) in scoring this season at 19.6 points per game, which ranks third in the Mountain West, with junior forward
Donovan Williams second on the team at 14.6 ppg and fifth in the league in field-goal percentage at 50.5. Hamm Jr. is first in the MW in rebounding with 10.2 per contest (12th in the country) and is also averaging 8.8 ppg and 1.0 blocks per game. McCabe leads the team in assists at 4.6 apg (seventh in the MW) and is second in the conference and 13th in the country in assist/turnover ratio (2.9).
UNLV has had an entirely new look this year with nine transfers - eight coming from the Division I level, including four from Big 12 programs. Ten of the Runnin' Rebels' 13 scholarship players had yet to play in a game in a UNLV uniform before this season began.
UNLV's 15-man roster includes 13 upperclassmen. Hamilton was selected to the 2021-22 Preseason All-Mountain West Team in October. Initially declaring for the 2021 NBA Draft, the second-team All-MW honoree last season who led the Runnin' Rebels in scoring with 17.9 points per game decided to return to the program.
ABOUT THE OPPONENT: San Diego State (10-4, 2-1) had won five straight games before losing Saturday night at home to Boise State (42-37). The Aztecs have had four of their last seven games postponed or canceled. Matt Bradley leads the team in scoring at 15.1 ppg, while Nathan Mensah is the team's leading rebounder (7.9 rpg) and Trey Pulliam leads in assists (3.7 per game). The Aztecs, who are 7-1 at home this season, have won back-to-back MW regular-season titles and had won 11 straight MW games before Saturday's loss. SDSU ranks third in the country in scoring defense (56.4 ppg) and fourth in field-goal percentage defense (36.9).
