Inigo Izuzquiza led all Rebel golfers in Sunday's opening round at the Isleworth Collegiate, which is being hosted by UCF at Isleworth Golf & Country Club (Par 72 - 7,544 yards).
The Rebel newcomer shot a one-over 73 to pull him into a tie for 37th through 18 holes. The remainder of UNLV's lineup includes junior
Ben Sawaia (+4) in a tie for 44th, while junior
Caden Fioroni (+7) senior
George Leigh (+7) and sophomore
Tommy Kimmel (+7) are tied for 62nd.
Leading the pack, Auburn's Alex Vogelsong shot a 6-under to make his way atop the individual leaderboard. Contending for the lead within one shot of Vogelsong, North Florida's Nick Gabrelcik (-5), the Tigers' Brendan Valdes and Florida's John DuBois (-5) are tied for second.
The Tigers took a commanding lead on the team leaderboard at 15-under after the first round, separating themselves by 13 strokes from Florida in second place at 2-over. Host UCF (E) is in third, LSU (+1) is in fourth and Purdue (+3) is in fifth.
