Yuki Moriyama and
Caden Fioroni are tied for second after Monday's opening round of the Blessings Collegiate Invitational, which is being hosted by Arkansas at Blessings Golf Club (Par 72, 7,700 yards).
The Rebel duo mirrored each other's scorecards with an opening-round 5-under-par 67. They are within two shots of current leader from Kansas Gunnar Broin at 7-under 65, while they stand ahead of Texas A&M's Daniel Rodrigues in fourth (-3) and Arkansas' Mateo Fernandez De Oliveira and the Jayhawks' Davis Cooper in a tie for fifth (-2).
In the team standings, the Scarlet & Gray is one-shot back of a top-5 position at 8-over 296. Among the top-5 teams through the event's first 18 holes, the host Razorbacks grabbed an early lead at 4-under 284 to pull ahead of Kansas in second (-2), Texas A&M and Clemson tied for third (+4) and Louisville in fifth (+7).
