Harkless Named Raising Cane's Outstanding Rebel Of The Week

The fifth-year guard earns honor after leading the Runnin' Rebels in back-to-back wins

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV's men's basketball's EJ Harkless has been named the Raising Cane's Outstanding Rebel of the Week, the school announced Saturday.

The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition from Monday through Sunday as voted on by the UNLV Athletics Strategic Communications department.

Harkless, a fifth-year guard from San Bernardino, California, led the Rebels in back-to-back home wins over then-No. 24 Dayton and High Point University. He dropped a season high of 24 points and grabbed six rebounds in a 60-52 victory over the Flyers, UNLV's first win over a ranked non-conference team on its home floor in eight years. Following that performance, Harkless led the Rebels with 15 points and seven assists in a 78-68 win over High Point.
