LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women's tennis team breezed by UTEP in a non-conference matchup on Saturday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

The Rebels improved to 2-0 while the Miners fell to 1-4.

The teams opened by splitting the first two completed doubles matches before UNLV took the deciding point on court two.

Moving to singles play, the hosts earned straight-set wins on five of six courts before UTEP notched its point in the final match of the day.

REBEL OF THE MATCH: Cindy Hu teamed with Salsa Aher for the clinching doubles win, 6-3, at the second position and then swept Veronika Lebisova at No. 3 in singles, 6-3, 6-3.

UP NEXT: UNLV finishes up its open weekend of action by hosting Youngstown State starting with doubles play at 10 a.m. Admission is always free of charge.
