LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men's tennis team lost a 4-1 decision to No. 40 Washington on a beautiful Tuesday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
The Rebels fell to 8-8 on the year while the Huskies from the Pac-12 Conference improved to 12-4.
The visitors took the first two completed doubles matches to build a 1-0 lead.
In singles, UNLV battled at multiple spots but three straight-setters clinched it for UW and the remaining matches were halted.
REBEL OF THE MATCH:
Christopher Bulus was leading his doubles match with partner
Zach Garner, 5-2, when it was halted and then the senior, ranked 76th nationally, downed 87th-ranked Ewen Lumsden, 6-2, 6-4, at the top of the singles lineup to improve to 15-5 on the season.
UP NEXT: UNLV hosts Denver on Thursday starting with doubles play at 4 pm. Admission to all matches is free of charge.
