SAN DIEGO (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women's tennis team kicked off Mountain West play Saturday with a dominating 4-0 victory over Utah State in a neutral-site setting at the Aztec Tennis Center.
 
The Rebels improved to 11-2 overall while the Aggies fell to 5-5 on the season.
 
UNLV opened things by taking the first two completed doubles matches to forge a 1-0 lead.
 
Moving to singles, the Rebels quickly knocked out straight-set wins on three courts to seal the overall victory.
 
REBEL OF THE MATCH: Senior Izumi Asano teamed with Cindy Hu for a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles and then breezed past Zara Ryan on court three in singles, 6-3, 6-1.
 
UP NEXT: UNLV returns to the courts tomorrow to take on Boise State in San Diego starting at 10 a.m.
