COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women's tennis team was forced indoors because of bad weather at the Air Force Academy but responded with a 4-1 victory over New Mexico in a neutral-site league match played Friday afternoon.
 
The Rebels improved to 16-5 overall and 6-3 in the Mountain West while the Lobos fell to 11-10 to 2-7.
 
UNLV opened play by taking the doubles point with a pair of 6-1 wins. Izumi Asano and Cindy Hu won on court two while Salsa Aher and CoCo Zhao were victorious at the third position.
 
In singles play, Zita Kovacs, Hu and Aher all won in straight sets to clinch the overall victory.
 
UP NEXT: UNLV closes out it regular-season slate by facing Air Force at the Academy on Saturday starting at 9 a.m. PT.
