LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV baseball team will hit the road, for the first time since April 3, for a single-game contest against Pac-12's Arizona State Tuesday evening at the Phoenix Municipal Stadium. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m.
The Rebels (28-13, 17-4 MW) are coming into this week's affair after going 3-2 this last week, splitting their two-game series against Loyola Marymount (L 16-12, W 21-11 (7 inn.)) and taking the series over New Mexico, 2-1, over the weekend (W 15-2, L 7-4, W 13-11). The Sun Devils (20-21, 9-9 Pac-12) are coming into Tuesday's affair after going 2-2 last week, winning their Tuesday contest against CSUN, 6-1, but dropping the series against Arizona this weekend, 1-2, (L 6-7 (10 inn.), W 8-5, L 14-4).
PREVIOUSLY THIS SEASON
UNLV and ASU squared off March 29 at the Las Vegas Ballpark, where the Rebels walked off with the win, 11-10. The Sun Devils still own the lead in the all-time head-to-head series, notching 64 wins to 22 losses, however, the Scarlet & Gray have won the last two games played.

REBELS CLAIM WEEKLY AWARD
- Gianni Horvat received the first weekly award for the Rebels, being named the MW Freshman of the Week following the Rebels' perfect weekend on the road (3-0) in San Diego February 28.
- Edarian Williams continued the weekly honors streak, earning MW Player of the Week, March 7.
- Conner Woods claimed pitcher of the week, March 14 after he picked up his first win of the season in a 4-3 victory over SDSU.
- Santino Panaro claimed Freshman of the Week, March 14, 28 and April 4 after helping the Rebels to a 4-0 week, including a series sweep over New Mexico.
- Braden Murphy earned Freshman of the Week weekly honors after helping the Rebels to a sweep over Air Force, March 21.
- Diego Alarcon earned Player of the Week weekly honors on March 28 after helping the Rebels to a 3-1 week, including a series win over MW foes San Jose State.
- Joey Walls earned Player of the Week weekly honors, April 4, after helping the Rebels to a 4-0 week. The junior batted a .706 over the week with 12 hits, including three home runs, 13 RBIs, 11 runs scored and three walks.
LEADERS IN THE MW AND THE NATION
-UNLV currently leads the nation in hits with 533, 43 more hits than Georgia Tech who ranks second (490), they also lead in doubles with 119, 11 more than #9 Texas Tech who sits second (108), first for doubles per game (2.90), batting average (.343), scoring (10.0) and runs (412), fourth in slugging percentage (.616), and 11th in triples (17).
- UNLV currently stands atop the conference with a 17-4 conference record, a four-game lead over UNR (13-8). This is the best start in conference play in program history.
- The Rebels currently lead the conference in batting with a .343 average, 412 runs scored, 533 hits and 379 RBI.
- Henry Ziesler ranks seventh in the nation and leads the MW in batting average (.427), ranks 11th in the nation and tied for second in the conference in hits (64), sits 25th in the nation and first in the MW for slugging percentage (.740), first in MW for OPS (1.272), tied for second in triples (3), seventh in the nation and first in conference for RBI (56).
- Joey Walls sits 43rd in the nation and fourth in the MW for batting average (.387), first in the nation and in the MW for doubles (22), 26th in the nation and second in the MW for slugging percentage (.730), tied for fourth in the MW for RBI (43) and second in the conference for OPS (1.205).
- Rylan Charles is tied for second in the NCAA and first in the MW for hits with 71, ranks 27th in the nation and is tied for second in the conference in sacrifice flies with 5, first in at bats (185), tied for fourth in doubles (14) and tied for third in runs scored (51).
- Kryszczuk ranks third nationally and second in the MW for doubles (17), is tied for second in triples (3), second in walks (31), tied for 14th in the nation and second in the MW for hits (64) and fifth in conference for at bats (167).
- Edarian Williams is tied for eighth in the nation and ranks second in the conference in RBI (54), tied for second in the conference in triples (3) and fifth in walks (26).
- Diego Alarcon leads the nation and the MW in runs scored with 62, tied for 14th in the nation and second in the MW for hits (64), second in at bats (154), fifth in RBI (42) and tied for third in doubles (14).
