CLOVIS, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) – The Rebels closed out day three of the 2022 Mountain West Outdoor Championships, Friday at the Veteran's Memorial Stadium.  

Senior Aaliyah Graves kicked the day off for the Scarlet & Gray with a 5.33m (17' 6") mark in long jump, followed by freshman Madelyn Wattles who recorded a 41.47m (136' 0") in the hammer throw. 

Senior standout Emma Wahlenmaier claimed her spot in the women's 800m run finals tomorrow with a time of 2:14.05, placing second in heat three of prelims. Wahlenmaier entered the MW Championships with the third fastest time, Emma placed fourth in this event at the MW Indoor Championships this season. 

Junior Rebecca Green recorded a 2:21.03 in the 800m, freshman Aitza Romero came in with a 2:26.81, senior Jasmine Perez finished with a time of 2:31.38 and sophomore Ellen Wise and senior Kaitlynn Menger recorded a 2:33.89 and a 2:40.51, respectively.

Senior Alia Scott was the second Rebel of the day to earn a spot in the women's 400m hurdles finals tomorrow, comfortably qualifying with a time of 1:01.24. Scott, a transfer from Mt. San Antonio College, comes into the championship with the second fastest time in the conference, Alia was the third place finisher at this meet last season in this event.

Freshman Kennedi Porter finished the women's 200m dash just .01 seconds after a three-way tie for ninth with a 24.13. Freshman Aja Melo-Powell followed with a time of 26.18. 

Freshman Natalia Ruiz Lara led the Rebels in the 1500m run with a time of 4:34.74. Sophomore Isabella Schrader recorded a 5:03.88 and Henderson native Wise came in at 5:09.90. Junior Mackenzie Moss finished with a time of 5:16.04, followed by senior Kaitlynn Menger, who recorded a 5:28.01, and junior LaKyla Yazzie came in at 5:28.05.

Yazzie, a native of Kirtland, N.M., finished the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 11:47.35, followed by freshman Alexys Arroyo who recorded a 12:50.21.

The Rebels will conclude their 2022 MW Championship campaign Saturday at 4 p.m., beginning with the women's triple jump.
