LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV Sports Properties long-tenured partner, Silver State Schools Credit Union (SSSCU), completed its 2022 Charity Stripe for Kids donation program with UNLV Athletics last month. SSSCU donated $10 per made free throw by the UNLV men's and women's basketball teams during 2021-22 regular season home games, totaling $4,700 donated to the Silver State Schools CU People Over Profit (POP) Foundation.
"On behalf of Silver State Schools Credit Union, I want to commend both the UNLV men's and women's basketball teams for their success this past season," said Scott A. Arkills, President/CEO, Silver State Schools Credit Union. "This donation will help the POP Foundation provide local PK – 12th grade students the tools, resources, and access to build a better future by educating, empowering, and enhancing our community for the common good. Our valued partnership with UNLV Sports Properties and UNLV Athletics helped make this valuable donation possible."
"UNLV Sports Properties is excited about working with Silver State Schools Credit Union, the POP Foundation and UNLV Athletics to impact our local Las Vegas community," said Dan Dolby, UNLV Sports Properties' General Manager. "Thank you to our men's and women's basketball teams for making it count at the free throw line this season and helping us raise funds for a great cause."
The Rebels' relationship with Silver State Schools Credit Union was secured by UNLV Sports Properties, the locally based Learfield IMG College team, which is dedicated to UNLV Athletics and serves as its multimedia rights and sports marketing arm.
