LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV football senior Austin Ajiake was named the Raising Cane's Outstanding Rebel of the Week, the school announced Wednesday.

The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition from Monday through Sunday as voted on by the UNLV Athletics Strategic Communications department.

Ajiake, a Fremont, California, native, finished with 11 total tackles - including one for loss - and an interception to lead the Rebels on defense in their 34-24 win over Utah State. He currently ranks third in the Mountain West, averaging almost nine per game.
