LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) — UNLV softball heads to Tennessee this weekend to compete in five games at the Jim Frost Classic at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga.
The Rebels face a doubleheader with Western Michigan and then Southeast Missouri State on Friday starting at 7 a.m. PT. Saturday pits UNLV versus Chattanooga at noon and Memphis at 2:30 p.m. The weekend concludes with Sunday's 8 a.m. rematch with Southeastern Missouri State.
UNLV is 6-5 after winning four of five games last weekend while hosting the Desert Classic.
UNLV junior
Jessie Fontes was voted Mountain West Pitcher of the Week after collecting two victories and posting a 0.70 ERA over 10 innings.
Senior
Denise Armendariz batted .471 last weekend, scoring five runs and driving in five more, to lead the Rebels' offense.
