LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) — UNLV softball aims to extend the university's lead in the Silver State Series presented by American First Credit Union when it visits Reno this weekend.

UNLV (14-14 overall, 0-3 Mountain West) kicks off its three-game series against UNR (20-4, 1-2) Friday at 3 p.m. at Christina M. Hixson Park.

Saturday's first pitch is 2 p.m. and Sunday's finale begins at 12 p.m. All games will be stream lived on the Mountain West Network.

Series History

UNLV leads the all-time series 28-17 but is 9-10 in Reno. The Rebels won two of three games in Las Vegas last season.

Desert Shield

UNLV ranks 10th nationally and leads all Mountain West teams in fielding percentage (.979). The Rebels have committed just 16 errors in 757 combined putouts and assists.

UNLV has ranked first or second in MW fielding percentage since head coach Kristie Fox debuted in the 2018 season.

Looking Ahead

UNLV travels to Fort Collins, Colorado, to open the newly renovated Ram Field for Colorado State's first-ever night game on April 1. The Rebels have taken two of three from the Rams the last two seasons.
