LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV continued its undefeated start to the season with a 4-0 win over Idaho State on Sunday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

Overcoming windy conditions, the Rebels improved to 8-0 to mark their best start since being 19-0 in the 2016 campaign, while the Bengals fell to 6-6.

UNLV took a quick 1-0 lead by winning doubles matches on courts two and three.

In singles play, the hosts won the first set on all six courts before the Bengals rallied to take the second stanza on four of them.

UNLV eventually got its wins from Molly Helgesson on court one, 6-4, 6-3, over Hana Cho; Zita Kovacs on court two, 7-6, 6-3, over Lola O'Lideadha; and Salsa Aher at No. 3, 6-2, 4-6, 6-0, over Sol O'Lideadha, to clinch it.

REBEL OF THE MATCH: Aher continued her hot play by winning her doubles match with partner Nina Zdravkovic and then remaining undefeated in singles in eight dual matches.

UP NEXT: UNLV is off until hosting Indiana from the Big Ten Conference on March 17 starting with doubles play at 10 a.m. Admission to all home matches is free of charge.
