BOISE, Idaho (UNLVRebels.com) – Forced indoors by bad weather, the UNLV women's tennis team lost in Mountain West play for the first time this season, 4-1, at Boise State at the Boas Tennis Center Saturday.
 
The Rebels, playing indoors for the first time this season, dropped to 10-2 overall and 2-1 in league play while the Broncos improved to 9-5 and 2-1.
 
The hosts opened play by winning both completed doubles matches to build a 1-0 lead.
 
In singles, four of the six matches went to three sets but after Zita Kovacs got UNLV on the board with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Lorelyz Marruffo on court two, Boise State picked up three victories to seal it. That included Salsa Aher falling 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 to Holly Stewart on court three to mark Aher's first loss in 12 dual matches this season.
 
UP NEXT: UNLV will stay in Boise and look to rebound when it faces Utah State on Sunday in a neutral-site match starting at 9 a.m. PT.
