Caden Fioroni and senior
Yuki Moriyama moved into the top 10 Tuesday in the second round of the Western Intercollegiate, which is being hosted by San Jose State at Pasatiempo Golf Club (Par 70, 6,514 yards).
Fioroni's 4-under day brought him into a tie for fourth with BYU's Keanu Akina at 4-under through 36 holes, while Moriyama's 3-under round placed him in a tie for sixth with UC Irvine's Darien Zhao at 5-under. The Rebel leaders in Fioroni and Moriyama are three and four shots back, respectively, of leaders Sam Choi from No. 9 Pepperdine and Owen Avrit from No.22 Oregon at 9-under.
The Waves and Ducks also pulled ahead of the pack atop the team standings, with the former in first at 27-under and latter in second at 13-under. Joining them in the top 5 are BYU (-8) in third, Cal (-4) in fourth and No. 8 Stanford in fifth. As a team, UNLV (+9) climbed one spot into sixth.

Brett Sawaia (+8) in a tie for 71st, as well as senior
George Leigh (+13) and freshman
Inigo Izuzquiza (+14).
