LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men's tennis team celebrated Senior Day by winning its fourth straight match, 5-2, over Montana in a non-conference affair Saturday afternoon at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
The Rebels improved to 12-8 overall while the Grizzlies of the Big Sky Conference fell to 10-11.
The hosts had to rally for the win, however, as following pre-match ceremonies celebrating the squad's host of senior players, Montana grabbed a 1-0 lead in doubles by taking the first two completed matches.
UNLV rallied in singles play to ultimately take five points in an outing that was filled with tiebreakers.
Maxim Verboven downed Gustav Theilgaard, 7-6, 6-2, at the top of the lineup;
Anton Ornberg used a pair of tiebreakers to down Fernando Perez on court two;
Aaron Bailey came back to take a three-setter, 2-6, 6-1, 6-3, at No. 3;
Milos Dabic got by Tom Bittner, 7-5, 7-5, at No. 4; and
Dusan Rsovac fought off Guillermo Martin, 7-6, 4-6, 6-4.

Jackson Atherton were leading in doubles when their match was halted and then he emerged with the rare double-tiebreak win in singles.
QUOTABLE: "We had a slow start against a solid Montana team. Today, everyone played for our seniors and pulled out the win in the end. A big Thank You to all of the parents and friends and members of the administration who came out to honor our awesome group of senior players."
