MESQUITE, Nev. (UNLVREBELS.com) – Former UNLV men's golfer Jack Trent advanced past the U.S. Open local qualifier Thursday at CasaBlanca Golf Course.

The former Rebel carded a 1-under 71 and will have a chance to continue his path to this year's U.S. Open at The Los Angeles Country Club from June 15-18. Final qualifying hosted by the USGA is taking place at 10 sites throughout the U.S., including Alaska on May 22 and nine additional domestic locations on June 5.
