LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) — UNLV Softball salutes its four graduating seniors this weekend when it hosts its final regular-season series against New Mexico Friday, May 5, and Saturday, May 6, at Eller Media Stadium.
The Rebels will celebrate the careers of
Denise Armendariz,
Lauryn Barker,
April Visser and
Julia Vollmer at the conclusion of Saturday's game.
Friday's first pitch is 3 p.m. PT and fans will receive a set of UNLV Softball trading cards while supplies last. Saturday's game begins at 1 p.m. and UNLV senior posters will be available at the entrance.
Armendariz will graduate from UNLV with her bachelor's in criminal justice. Armendariz is a two-time All-Mountain West Team selection and ranks among the top 10 Rebels for career RBIs.
Barker will complete her bachelor's in urban studies. Entering the weekend with 202 collegiate games under her belt, her .963 career fielding percentage is the best-ever by a Rebel third basewoman.Â
Visser earned her B.S. of interdisciplinary studies in sociology and kinesiology in December 2022 and is pursuing her M.Ed. in intercollegiate and professional sport management. Visser ranks in the top-four all-time at UNLV for run production, slugging and on-base percentage. After transferring from N.C. State, she earned NFCA All-Region and All-Mountain West First Team honors in her debut season in 2022.
Vollmer will graduate with a B.S.B.A. in management. The South Lyon, Michigan, native is the best-ever defensive catcher, sporting a .991 career fielding percentage that ranks second all-time at UNLV. Vollmer is a three-time NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete.
