SUNNYVALE, Calif. – The UNLV women's cross country team trekked out to its final meet of the regular season on Saturday morning, competing in the Bronco Invitational in Baylands Park, hosted by the University of Santa Clara. The Rebels raced in the Women's 6K CC Invite portion of the meet, the team's first 6K race of the 2024 season.
The Scarlet & Gray featured four student-athletes near the top of the lineup, all within about nine seconds apart.
Claire Rands led the group with a 23:03.2 final time, the first time this season the freshman has been the first Rebel to cross the finish line. Another pair of freshman ended the meet within a tenth of a second between each other,
Breanna Blanks registering a 23:12.1 time and
Sophia Legat crossing on a 23:12.2 final time.
Leah Okuda rounded out the freshman roster with a 23:51.1 final time in the race.
Nicole Boskovich headlined the veteran members of the lineup with a new personal-best time in the 6K race, beating her time from last year at this same meet by over 30 seconds on a final time of 23:04.8.
Abigail Danlag finished behind her junior teammate, touching on a 23:41.7 time. Another best time was earned by
Aine McDade, the Las Vegas native dropping a couple second from her personal-best on the 24:38.8 final time on Saturday.
Alana Sangprasit and
Jaida Lyles also took part in the Saturday race for the Rebels, the former producing a 24:43.4 final time. The graduate student rounded out the UNLV lineup with a 25:06.4 mark.

The Rebels will gear up next for the Mountain West Cross Country Championships for their next meet, the first of three potential meets for the roster in the postseason.
