LAS CRUCES, N.M. (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV's Cindy Hu won in the Round of 16 in both singles and doubles Saturday at the ITA Mountain Regional on the campus of New Mexico State.
 
Members from 20 western teams are facing off each day in both singles and doubles through the finals on Tuesday.
 
In doubles, Hu and Coco Zhao, seeded eighth, downed Hana Novak and Natalie Cinkova of NAU, 8-1 to advance while UNLV's other duo of Nikol Mircheva and Hanna Vinahradava were ousted in a tiebreaker, 8-7 (4).
 
In singles, Hu won easily over Wyoming's Anastasia Kochelaevskaia, 6-1, 6-1.
 
Each of the 2024 ITA Men's and Women's Division I Regional Championships will see two singles finalists (26) qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship. Meanwhile, the doubles champion from each region (13) will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship.
